Development of a global strategy for volunteering for development (2022) 
I’m working with The International Forum for Volunteering in Development (Forum) to collectively support their members to develop a strategy for the next five years, helping them navigate their pathway in a post-Covid world.

Mapping of International Volunteer Cooperation Agencies (2022)
I’m supporting Forum to better understand its potential partners and collaborators with a mapping exercise to identify volunteer organisations globally.

Log My Care (2022)
I analysed data from the organisation’s first survey of care workers to explore their feelings about the care sector and their jobs. The report from this analysis is available here.

Intercultural Youth Exchange: research on the impact of overseas volunteering (2017 – 2019)
I worked with Intercultural Youth Exchange (ICYE) to support the organisation to undertake an impact assessment of their programme of global volunteering, in which young people undertake volunteer exchange programmes over a period of three months. Read the report here.

Samaritans: analysis of volunteer exit survey (2018)
Working with Kim Donahue Consulting, I undertook analysis of data from the 2018 volunteer exit survey for the Samaritans, providing the organisation with an important insight into the views of volunteers who left the organisation (internal report).

CharityJob: Research in to diversity and discrimination in the voluntary sector (2018) 
In 2017 CharityJob ran two surveys to their contacts to examine diversity and discrimination in recruitment in the voluntary sector. I undertook analysis of the survey data and wrote the report on the findings, which went on to receive significant press and sector interest after its publication. Read the report here.

Danish Institute for Voluntary Effort / Center for Frivilligt Socialt Arbejde: keynote conference presentation (2017)
I gave the keynote presentation at the organisation’s annual conference, discussing the advantages and drawbacks of the professionalisation of volunteering. View the full presentation here.

Sport England: Guidance on running surveys on volunteering (2017)
I worked with Sport England to develop their guidance on how national governing bodies could effectively undertake surveys of their volunteers, which has since been rolled out across the country to improve the evidence base on volunteer management and the impact of volunteering. Big Lottery Fund and the Office for Civil Society: the evaluation of the Local Sustainability Fund (2017)
I led and coordinated the independent evaluation of the Local Sustainability Fund, a £20m programme managed by the Big Lottery Fund on behalf of the Office for Civil Society. Read the full report here.
